The Situation

An early-stage health and wellness company had built a mobile service platform and contractor network but was struggling to gain consumer and investor confidence. Although its core operations could be profitable, the company was directing most available revenue toward marketing and repeated fundraising efforts, leaving little to reinvest in the business.

The deeper problem was not a lack of capital. Its positioning did not reflect the capabilities it had already built or the broader platform it could become.

What We Did

Cenergy assessed the company's positioning, operating model, core capabilities and funding needs. Sheila recommended repositioning the business as an at-home health and wellness provider, adding healthcare services and developing the existing app into a broader healthcare platform.

The strategy paired this pivot with a social-enterprise model centered on training, economic opportunity for people from marginalized communities and expanded access to care. It also shifted the financial focus from investor-driven growth to preserving profitability and reinvesting operating cash flow.

The Outcome

  • The new positioning changed how the business was perceived and strengthened the professional identity of its service providers. The company began expanding its healthcare services and adapting its technology platform, creating a clearer path to sustainable growth and social impact.

Why It Matters

The strongest strategy was not to abandon what the company had built, but to recognize its value and redirect it.

Better positioning, a more disciplined funding model and a broader use of existing capabilities created a more credible path forward.
